DIRECTOR BIO

Blaise Borrer is a Sydney-based writer and director diagnosed with Autism. He was originally from a small country town in New South Wales where he developed his passion for film by creating shorts on whatever equipment he could get his hands on. Since then, he has created content in a variety of mediums, from dramatic and comedic shorts, to web-series pilots, documentaries and TVCs. Some of his recent work around Austim such as Life Without Limits and The Adventures of Aspie Boy! has gone on to screen on SBS in festival showcases.

DIRECTOR STATEMENT

This film is particularly special to me because both myself and my little brother, who stars in the film are diagnosed on the spectrum. I wanted to create something with my family that captured the complicated feelings around an autism diagnosis from the perspective of the parent but filmed through the lens of the child, now grown up.
