SYNOPSIS: Marta and Juan travel to Iraq to uncover the secrets of an abandoned cigarette factory.
DIRECTOR BIO: Yad Deen is a filmmaker and photographer from London, England, with extensive experience in the film and media industry across Europe and the Middle East.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT: This is an independent film made with very few cast and crew. The production team and two main actors flew from Spain all the way to Iraq for Carga and we are especially proud to have been nominated - among many others - at ScreamFest LA and Hollyshorts Film Festivals in 2018. I hope that the JTIFF audience enjoys it as well!
