SYNOPSIS: Looking back at his great uncle's life and war photography, the filmmaker explores his own relationship with images, memory and the devastating condition of dementia.

DIRECTOR BIO: Steve Summers is a filmmaker based out of Chicago, working in narrative, documentary and experimental forms. His subjects range from personal family history to social fears and anxieties. Screening internationally, his work has been shown at the Kansas City Film Fest International, Indianapolis Film Festival, Fear No Film, The Gig Harbour FIlm Festival, and The Chicago Underground Film Festival. His documentary, THE GARAGE, screened last year at the 2nd Annual JTIFF where it was nominated for Best Documentary.
