SYNOPSIS
In the wake of her 86-year-old father's open-heart surgery, a Philadelphia woman travels a thousand miles to help her dad adapt to his new normal.
DIRECTOR BIO
Haley Hnatuk is a current student at NYU SPS and 2020 Skidmore Storytellers’ Institute Visiting Fellow. Additionally, she is working as an Editor and Assistant Producer on the feature-length film "in love, in memory.” When she is outside of the edit room, she works as a Content Marketing Coordinator at Fastmail, a privacy-first email company, and is the Producer of their podcast, Digital Citizen, an Apple Top Tech show that focuses on how individuals can live healthier digital lives.
DIRECTOR STATEMENT
This film is about my mother's journey to Florida to help my grandfather recover from open-heart surgery. My hope is that this film resonates with people who have experienced familial long distance relationships or are currently feeling distant from family members (regardless of how close they physically are).
